America, Ankeny Dance is a proud member of the Ankeny Chamber of Commerce and has been a locally-owned studio
here for more than three decades. At Ankeny Dance and Performing Arts Academy, we have a professional staff
of dedicated and talented teachers who can challenge students of all abilities. See our beautiful new state-of-the-art
studios with 12,500 square feet of space at 515 N. Ankeny Blvd. in Northside Plaza. Ankeny Dance students enjoy the
finest of dance facilities featuring fully-sprung wood subfloors to cushion and protect dancers' legs, and top-of-the-line
Stagestep dance surfaces for the best performance and safety available for your student.
At
Ankeny Dance & Performing Arts Academy, we provide each of our students with the training and opportunity to
become the best dancer he or she can be. You and your student will love the warm, caring environment we offer with
individual attention to the development of each and every child! Your student will learn good character
and the rewards of a solid work ethic; growing not just in dance skills and ability, but also in poise
and self-confidence. We believe in tailoring our programs to develop both well-rounded dancers and individuals.
At Ankeny Dance & Performing Arts Academy, your student will not only grow in their knowledge and passion for dance and
the performing arts, they will learn to become more confident, motivated, and self-assured.
In
addition to offering parent/tot classes starting with students at age two, and combination classes beginning at
the age of 3 in tap, ballet and jazz, Ankeny Dance is recognized as one of the finest ballet
and pointe studios in the state for all ages. We challenge our students to develop their proficiency in all facets
of dance and movement, including tap, jazz, lyrical, musical theater dance, boys' classes, hip hop, and tumbling.
We offer additional ballet classes for students age 9 and older who desire to perfect and master their
technique. Our vocal lessons and musical theater classes can help build students into a "triple threat" in
performance!
Our curriculum builds a strong foundation for each student to attain their
personal goals, whether they dream of performing on stage in dance one day as a career, or just to learn a variety
of techniques for the fun and joy of dance and performing!
With our solid reputation and
programs our classes do have limited space available, so we do encourage new students to register as early
as possible to ensure they have a spot for fall classes.
