The Ankeny Dance & Performing Arts Academy Star Dancers are a select competition and performance group coached by Director Sarah Ferree. These dancers take part in competitions, conventions, in-studio workshops, community performances and educational and performance trips. Their most recent trip was to perform at Disneyland in California; in addition, they took backstage workshops with cast members and also classes at the Edge in Los Angeles.
The Star Dancer program requires extra time, dedication, rehearsal, and focus. For those who are selected by audition to participate, it offers special opportunities to perform, fine tune, and showcase their talents. It’s also extremely rewarding and a lot of fun to be a part of this group and to perform on a high level with your team!
