Our mission is to provide extra opportunities for those students who love to dance and want to do it more. We want this program to provide those experiences in a positive and fun atmosphere. Students and parents can choose the level of participation and time/cost involvement that ranges from recreational competitor that just competes in one large group and the production number to to the serious company member who competes several routines and participates in multiple conventions.
Our name “Triple Threat” stands for these 3 Pillars:
Education — our dancers participate in workshops throughout the year, both in-house and off-site, from guest instructors where they can continue to grow and learn.
Performance/Community Involvement — our dancers participate in performances for the community not only because it’s a valuable learning experience to perform in different venues and it’s just fun! but also because we feel it’s important to give back to our community and help charitable causes when we can.
Competition — our dancers compete at 3 local competitions throughout the year. We also have various optional competitions and a nationals available for those who would like more competition experience. These competitions allow dancers to get feedback from judges at each event as well as to receive their adjudications.
All dancers going in to the Shining Stars 3 level and above who are also enrolling in an Extra Ballet class are invited to participate in the Triple Threat Dance Company. Please contact the office for more information.
Star Dancers are the highest level of the TTDC and are chosen by an audition in the summer each year. Star Dancers have more commitments, including a performance trip every two years. In 2018 the Star Dancers were chosen to perform their own 30 minute show at Disneyland in California. While in California they also attended an Audition Workshop backstage at Disneyland as well as classes at The Edge in Los Angeles.
